Instilling Bangabandhu’s ideology into children stressed

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today called for instilling humanitarian qualities and ideologies of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman into the mindset of children, reports BSS.

“We have to infuse the humanitarian qualities of Bangabandhu into the new generation. During the ‘Mujib Year’, all children should know about the information related to Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu,” she said.She was addressing the launching ceremony of an art exhibition at Zainul Gallery of the Institution of Fine Arts here as the chief guest.

Lipika Art Academy organized the ‘Annual Art Exhibition’ ceremony marking the Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu. The speaker urged all to come forward to help children flourish their latent talent. Later, she distributed prizes among the winners of a competition arranged for children.

The speaker said life and works of Bangabandhu always make everyone recall his (Bangabandhu) deep essence of life, political philosophy and profound love for the country and its people. With founding director of Art Academy Nusrat Jahan Lipika in the chair, the function was attended, among others, by actress and singer Shampa Reza.
