Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has been freed from Coronavirus infection, said an official handout on Sunday.
The information minister was tested for COVID-19 on Saturday, and the result came negative last night. His wife also tested negative, the release added, reports BSS.
During the prevailing Coronavirus epidemic, Hasan did office at the ministry regularly and took part in programmes outside it by maintaining health code. Even, he continued signing necessary official documents and papers while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, got infected with COVID-19 and tested positive on October 16. At first, he was admitted to Square Hospital and later was shifted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
The information minister is now free from health complications, it added.
