Independent teaching centres needed to improve quality edn

Terming smart education is needed to create a ‘smart Bangladesh,’ speakers at a workshop at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) said independent teaching and learning centers is needed in the universities to improve and develop the quality education.

“There is no substitute of training to keep pace with the next education system. Universities are requiring smart teachers to earn the benefit of smart education as well as smart Bangladesh,” they said.

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of CUET and Bangladesh University Grants Commission jointly organized the workshop on the implementation of Outcome Based Curriculum on Wednesday at the academic council of the university.

Director of CUET's IQAC Professor Dr Asaduzzaman presided over the inaugural ceremony while UGC member Prof. Dr. Bishajit Chanda addressed the function as chief guest.

Professor Dr Md. Mainul Islam addressed the function as guest of honour while director of Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance Division of UGC Dr Durga Rani Sarkar addressed the function as special guest.

IQAC Additional Director Professor Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbi delivered the welcome speech.
