A housewife was killed when a passenger bus ran over her in Bortakia area of Mirsharai upazila in Chattogram on Tuesday morning, reports BSS.
The victim was identified as Setara Akther, 35, wife of Shah Alam Bhuiyan, Union Parishad (UP) member of Padua bazar ward of Wahedpur.
Mirsari thana police said a Dhaka-bound Star line Paribahan passenger bus crushed pedestrian Setera Akther under its wheels at 10 am today after its driver lost control over the steering.
The injured was sent to Mirsari Upazila Health Complex, where the attending doctors declared her dead, police sources said.
