Horlicks organize awareness program on children and women health and nutrition

Horlicks, the popular nutritional health food drink of GSK Bangladesh Ltd has recently organized an informative session called “Horlicks Pushti Kotha” for mothers at Six Seasons Hotel in the capital. The main objective of the program was to spread awareness about health and nutrition of children and women, engaging mothers as the key demographic.

Ishrat Jahan, nutritionist of BRB Hospital provided essential nutritional information for children and discussed on childhood growth, women’s nutrition and the wellbeing of both women and children.

It was an interactive event whereby mothers, participated and had a collaborative discussion on the nutrition of their child. The mothers who participated were members of Pop of Colour Ltd, a popular female group of Facebook along with its admin Tinker Jannat Meem. Speaking on the occasion Ishrat Jahan said, “The nutritional status of children and women is crucial. It is very important to improve nutrition in childhood as this is the most vital period for growth and brain development. 

For that to be a reality it is essential that there is awareness on the topic. 

This informative session is a praise worthy step of engaging and informing mothers on nutrition and wellbeing of both children and women.”
