Under the personal initiative of a female writer, initiative has been taken to hoist National Flags atop every houses of five upazilas of the district on 16th December, the Victory Day-2019.
The organisers of the initiative informed, already 2,500 national flags have been distributed in five upazilas of the district.
A source of Thakurgaon District Administration informed, in addition to hoisting the flags on the Victory Day atop every houses of the district, the flags will also be hoisted atop all houses on the International Mother Language Day on 21st February and on the Independence Day on 26th March.
Arranged by local female writer and cultural worker Jui Jasemine in cooperation with district administration, the inauguration of the distribution of National Flags in every houses of the district was kicked off by Additional Deputy
Commissioner of Thakurgaon Nur Kutubul Alam.Among others, the inauguration event was attended, by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Maumn, President of Thakurgaon Press Club Monsur Ali and the President of Udichi Shilipi Gosthi Setara Begum.
