Health officer Dr Abdul Latif died in Bogra at the age of 58, with Covid-19 like symptoms.
Latif, the director of the Department of Alternative Medical Care (AMC) in Health department, died while undergoing treatment at the Corona Unit of Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZMCH).
Hospital Assistant Director Abdul Wadud said, Dr Abdul Latif came to his home in Maltinagar, Bogra from Dhaka on Eid holiday. He was admitted to SZMCH last Tuesday with fever and shortness of breath. His report came negative after examining the sample.
But he was being treated in the corona unit due to the symptoms. Abdul Latif's oxygen level dropped and he died.
