on risky school, madrasa buildings The High Court (HC) on Tuesday asked authorities concerned to submit a report on risky school and madrasa buildings across the country, reports BSS. A High Court division bench comprising Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam passed the order today after holding hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard. Rights group Law and Life Foundation filed the writ.
The court asked secretary of Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development & Cooperatives and its chief engineer to conduct a survey and submit a report on this within three months. The High Court also ordered them to identify the risky buildings and make those safe and environment-friendly after renovation.
