The Supreme Court (SC) authorities have extended all the High Court (HC) ad-interim bail orders and effectiveness of all other ad-interim orders for the next one month in the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation.
The Supreme Court administration issued a circular to this effect on Monday (July 26) night.
In the circular signed by Registrar of High Court division Md Golam Rabbani, the SC authorities said that they have extended ad-interim bail orders and other orders, which were given for a specific period of time and which were served by the High Court on condition to surrender at the lower courts.
The circular was issued under the directive from Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain.
Earlier, the SC issued a similar circular to this effect, which will expire soon.
The chief justice earlier decided to run the court functions across the country on a limited scale in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections.
