Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today called upon all departments, agencies and offices under the ministry to project the development activities of the government to the people, reports BSS.
“It is the duty of Information Ministry to project the development activities of the government before the people. It creates a bridge between the government and the people,” he said.
The minister was addressing a meeting to introduce newly appointed State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan to the ministry’s officials and employees and the chiefs of different offices and agencies under the ministry.
Extending congratulations to the state minister, Mahmud said the ministry performs very important works for the government.
“Let us work together as a team along with the new state minister. If we work together, it will be very easy for us. We will make bridge between the people and the government,” he said.
Seeking cooperation from all, State Minister Dr Murad Hasan said he wants to work as per the directives of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “I hope I will get cooperation from all of you in my works.”
Information Secretary Abdul Malek, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad, Bangladesh Television Director General SM Harun-or-Rashid, Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) Director General Zafar Wazed, Bangladesh Betar Director General Narayan Chandra Shil and officials of Information Ministry attended the meeting.
At the outset, the information minister welcomed the new state minister by giving a bouquet to him.
