LGRD and Cooperatives Minister M Tazul Islam said that the government along with others organizations have been working sincerely to control dengue, reports BSS.

“We hope that we will be successful to face and control dengue across the country,” he told journalists at the Circuit House in Habiganj on Saturday. The minister said, “I am not received any award or memorandum for my special contribution to control dengue. An organisation gave me memorandum in a debate contest like other guests.”

“But it was described mistakenly that I received award to control dengue. It is unfortunate to publish any partial or false news,” he said. Later, the minister joined a discussion on 44th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Mourning Day as the chief guest.

He said conspirators brutally killed Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and stopped all development works in the country, when he was starting works giving importance to education and agriculture to develop the country soon after the independence. Chaired by Mayor Mizanur Rahman Mizan, the discussion was also addressed, among others, by local lawmakers Advocate M Abu Zahir, Advocate Abdul Majid Khan and Gazi Shahnawaz Milad.

Earlier, the minister inaugurated a kitchen market and joined a view exchange meeting to discuss the ongoing projects. LGED and DPHE officials explained all projects under implementing stage.
