Govt working to ensure safe migration: Imran

Japan has now become a prospective destination for skilled workers of Bangladesh as the government has mapped out plans to ensure safe migration in different countries and also human resources management, reports BSS.

This was told by expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment minister Imran Ahmad while addressing as chief discussant a seminar on Human Resource Development in Bangladesh in Tokyo on Thursday. The minister said there exists many job opportunities in Japan for skilled manpower of Bangladesh.

IM Japan organized the seminar in collaboration with Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo, Japan Bangladesh Committee for Commercial and Economic Co-operation, Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industries and National Federation of Small Business Association. Imran said, Bangladesh is now moving fast on the development highway and Japan is the single largest development partner of Bangladesh’s forward march.

Bangladeshi workers are efficient, talent and hard working, Imran said urging the representatives of Japanese firms to give priority to Bangladeshi workers in regard to recruitment. Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan Rabab Fatima, president of IM Japan company Sadanori Sakamato, chief executive officer of IM kiyoi Yanagisawa, chief director of Machida Hospital Kaisuke Erako, technical interns of Bangladesh working in Japan, among others, spoke on the occasion. Almost one thousand delegates from different Japanese organizations were present on the occasion.
