Minister of Agriculture and Awami League presidium member Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque said that the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina believes in the equal rights of people of all races, religions, castes, including Garo, Hajong, Chakma, Marma, Bengalis and is working tirelessly for equal development of all. The present government has established harmony and harmony among all communities. But a group, some terrorists, militants want to destroy this harmony and amity. People of all communities should be united against them.

The minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the Dhaka Wangala program at Banani Vidyaniketan school and college premises in the capital on Friday morning. The Garo community living in Dhaka organizes the Wangala or Navanna festival.

Mentioning that the current government is working very sincerely for the socio-economic development of all ethnic groups including the Garos, the minister said that as the people of all communities worked unitedly during the liberation war, now we all have to build the country so that we can be promoted as a nation of pride all over the world.

Pointing out that the current government has stopped the harassment of false cases of forest department on the tribals, the minister said that not a single Garo has been arrested in Madhupur in the last 14 years in a forest department case. Those against whom there are 16, 17 or even more than a hundred cases were not allowed to be arrested. This is the Prime Minister's order.
