State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder today said the government has taken necessary steps for ensuring profit of the sugar dealers as it has already fixed Taka 2 profit and Taka 2 transportation cost for their each kg sugar, reports BSS.
“The government will ensure the profit and transportation cost for the dealers. They will have to withdrawal their sugar within the scheduled time,” he said while exchanging views with leaders of the Bangladesh Sugar Dealer Business Association at the Industries Ministry conference room in the city, said a press release.
Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Begum Parag presided over the meeting while Chairman of the Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) Ajit Kumar Paul, among others, was present. Kamal Mojumder said though the production of sugar is very costly, but the government is supplying sugar with low price considering the consumers satisfaction.
