Law minister Anisul Haq on Friday said the government would deal legally with anybody who would want to play ducks and drakes with country’s hard earned democracy, reports BSS. The minister said this in a discussion organized by upazila unit of Awami League on the Nationa Mourning Day at Akhawara Railway Station premises here on Friday. With principal Joynal Abedin in the chair the function was addressed among others by pourasabha mayor Takjil Khalifa Kajol.

Secretary of Law Division Golam Sarwar, Kasba UZ parishad chairman Rashedul Kaiser Bhuiyan, and Akhawra UZ parishad chairman Abul Kashem Bhuiyan were present. The law minister said one of the absconding killers of Bangabandhu is living in the USA. And he will be brought back home. Legal efforts are going on to bring back another killer from Canada, he said. The government is working for getting information about four other convicted fugitive killers. All killers of Bangabandhu would be brought back to home for execution of the court verdict, he affirmed. Anisul Haq said the killers of Bangabandhu hatched conspiracy to kill Bangladesh after Bangabandhu’s murder. They tried to make Bangladesh a mini Pakistan and their blueprint was already been finalised. But, the 1996 general election foiled their plot, exploring new opportunities for Bangladeshi people to prosper.
