Govt compensates 33 more Rajshahi people for land acquisition

The government has given Taka 12 crore as compensation to 33 more persons for acquiring their land for various development projects in Rajshahi city.

 The government has acquired their lands for implementation of different projects, including BKSP, Police Station Building, Forces Barrack, city road widening, Survey Institute Construction, Buffer Warehouse and water treatment plant. 

 The cheques of compensated money were distributed at a function at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Rajshahi city on Thursday afternoon.

 DC Abdul Jalil accompanied by Additional DC Shariful Haque, Editor of Daily Sonali Sangbad Liakat Ali and Editor of Daily Sonar Desh akbarul Hassan Millat distributed the cheques.  Speaking on the occasion, Abdul Jalil said the present government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing diversified projects for overall development of the country.   The government is very much positive to compensate the people whose lands are acquired for the projects timely, he added.  He urged all quarters to extend their wholehearted cooperation for successful implementation of the projects. Earlier, 124 other affected landowners were given Taka 27.90 crore as compensation for the same purposes in three phases.
