Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi on Monday expressed hope that signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) or EPA between Bangladesh and Japan will be possible before 2026, the final year of Bangladesh's graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) to a developing country.
Commerce Minister announced the launching of the feasibility study for signing FTA at a press conference held at the Ministry of Commerce at Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital on Monday.
Bangladesh and Japan jointly announced the launching of feasibility study on future signing of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) or Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) to boost the bilateral trade between the two friendly countries.
Japanese Ambassador in Bangladesh ITO Naoki was also present at the launching ceremony.
