Police recovered the bodies of four members of the same family in Madhupur of Tangail on Friday.
The bodies were recovered from a house at Masterpara area under Madhupur municipal area around 9 am in the morning.
The deceased were identified as Gani Mia, 35, his wife Tarizaran, 30, their son Tazel, 14, and daughter Sadia, 6, of Golabari Poddarbari.
According to locals, Gani Mia started living in Masterpara a year ago. Locals informed the police when the stench came out of their house on Friday.
After receiving the news, police reached the spot and recovered the decapitated bodies of those four persons. Officer-in-Charge of Madhupur Police Station Tariq Kamal confirmed the matter.
