Former Chief PRO of DCC Jahangir Hossain passes away

Retired Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the then undivided Dhaka City Corporation (DCC), Jahangir Hossain died early on Saturday (Inna Lillahe---rajeun). He was 72.

Jahangir Hossain died of massive cardiac arrest a city hospital.

Jahangir Hossain left behind a son, a daughter, a host of his relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

He was buried at Gabtoli graveyard after namaj e janaja, held near his residence, at the city’s Darus Salam area, Mirpur in the afternoon. 

Jahangir Hossain started his career as Journalist after completing study in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Dhaka. Later early in the 80’s decade he joined as Public Relations Officer of the Dhaka City Corporation.

Hailing from Faridpur District, Jahangir Hossain is also the elder brother of renowned Journalist and Editor-in-Chief of ‘Barta 24 .com’, Alamgir Hossain.
