Miscreants killed fishes worth Tk3 lakhs by poisoning at Akobpur village under Shibpur union of Nabinagar upazila in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday.
On information, police visited the spot.
According to locals and police, office assistant of Sur Samrat Ustad Allauddin Khan, Md Iqbal Hossain had been cultivating fish by fish project in a pond over the last few years.
On Tuesday night, some miscreants allegedly poisoned fish worth about Tk3 lakhs.
The incident became known when the dead fishes started floating on the surface of the water. Md Iqbal Hossain said a group identified by the village might have done the heinous act of enmity.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shibpur Police Outpost, Vivek Debnath said recently a rivalry occurred between two groups on badminton playing. May be one of the groups doing this. We didn’t get any written complaints on this issue. We will take necessary steps after getting complaint.
