Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism A. M. Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury MP has said Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib was a victorious woman.
She helped Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to take important decisions at many turning points in our nation’s freedom movement.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a function organized by Press Club convener Deepak Chowdhury Bappi at the Brahmanbaria Press Club on Saturday afternoon. In the function, Bangladesh Journalists Welfare Trust distributed checks for journalists affected by corona virus.
Moktadir Chowdhury said when the Awami League first came to power, initiatives were taken for the welfare of journalists.
For this 50 lakh taka was also given. I was one of the initiators at that time. But during the next government it stopped again. Awami League came to power again and started it.
