Feni Uni professors receive Swedish scholarship

Feni University Marketing department assistant professor and student advisor Mohammad Abul Khair and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department assistant professor and chairman Md Sayeed Hossain Parvez were congratulated by the university faculty on receiving a prestigious Swedish scholarship.  

The professors leaving for higher education were congratulated and a farewell ceremony was held on Thursday at the university hall room for them. 

Faculty of Business Administration chairman and university chairman committee convener Assistant Professor Mohammad Abul Kashem presided over the ceremony. Eminent fisheries scientist and Prof Dr Md Saifuddin Shah was present as the chief guest and Treasurer Prof Taibul Haque and Registrar ASM Abul Khair were present as special guests. 

Speakers at the event said that they hope the two professors will complete their higher education in Sweden and rejoin the university. The speakers also wished health and prosperity for the professors and their families. Mohammad Abul Khair and Md Sayeed Hossain Parvez were presented with crests during the ceremony. 

Chairmen of the different departments of the university and faculty members reminisced about the professors’ life and achievements. University Proctor and Law department Assistant Professor Mohammad Moniruzzaman, Law department chairman and senior lecturer Md Ayatullah, Civil department chairman Ataul Hakim Mahmud, Management department Assistant Professor Hasan Ahmed gave speeches during the event.

Feni University Marketing department assistant professor and student advisor Mohammad Abul Khair will be studying for a higher degree in Marketing at Sweden’s Stockholm University and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department assistant professor and chairman Md Sayeed Hossain Parvez will be enrolled in a two year computer science course at Sweden’s Uppsala University.
