After ‘Furious 7’ (2015) and ‘Victoria & Abdul’ (2017), Ali Fazal was looking forward to his next Hollywood outing, ‘Death on the Nile.’ Kenneth Branagh’s mystery thriller features Armie Hammer, who is mired in controversy after alleged sexually-explicit chats exchanged between the actor and a woman went viral. Due to the backlash, he opted out of three projects. This has reportedly put a question mark on the film’s release. It was slated to release in 2020, but the pandemic delayed it. The Hammer episode may push it even further.

‘Death On The Nile’ has everything one desires in a good story - love, lust, envy, desire and to top it all, a mystery to solve. The scenes are widely shot in Egypt and the movie is set to hit the theatres on October 23. The film has an ensemble cast, including Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Ali Fazal, Tom Bateman, Rose Leslie, Annette Bening, Letitia Wright, Sophie Okonedo, Emma Mackey, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, and Russell Brand. From the director Kenneth Branagh, the upcoming American film is based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie.    —Mid-day
