Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder, Vice Chancellor (VC) of East West University (EWU) has been honored with a Life Time Award in Education. The award was given by the Bangladesh Student Welfare Trust for his outstanding work in the higher education sector. The ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Nabab Nawab Ali Sinet Bhaban in the University of Dhaka.
The award was handed over by Deputy Speaker of the Bangladesh National Parliament, Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah MP. Among others, Professor Dr Kamal Uddin Ahamed, VC, Sher-E-Bangla Agriculture University, Professor Dr Md Alauddin, VC, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, and Professor Dr A B M Rashedul Hassan, VC, Exim Bank Agriculture University were present on the occasion.
The programme was chaired by Lieutenant Colonel (rtd) Abu Osman Chowdhury, sector commander of Bangladesh, and executive director of Bangladesh Student Welfare Trust.
