The health condition of Jatiya Party Chairman and leader of the opposition in parliament HM Ershad remained unchanged for the last three days, reports BSS.
“For the last three days his health condition remained unchanged several complication have surfaced,” acting chairman of Jatiya Party GM Quader told journalists at CMH in the capital on Thursday.
The Jatiya Party chairman is now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, where he was admitted on June 26 and kept on oxygen support since June 30. “His lung infection is not improving . . . his kidney is also not functioning properly,” Quader said, adding that doctors are taking care of Ershad sincerely to ensure best possible treatment for him.
Responding to a question, Quader said the next course of treatment of Ershad will be decided based on the advices of the doctors as all medical reports were sent to Singapore. Quader requested the countrymen to pray for the recovery of Ershad in all mosques, temples, churches and pagodas tomorrow. Jatiya Party presidium members Sunil Shuvo Roy, Lt. Gen (retd) Masud Uddin Chowdhury, Alamgir Shikder Loton and adviser Dr Md Nurul Azhar, among others, were present.
