DU VC invited for Canada visit

Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Ms. Lilly Nicholls called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman at the latter’s office of the university on Tuesday (October 3, 2023).

During the meeting, the Canadian High Commissioner invited DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman to visit Canada to strengthen academic and research collaborations among Dhaka University and different universities in Canada. 

She said that the friendly ties between Bangladesh and Canada have been prevailing for a long time. Different development programmes including academic, research and cultural ones will be further strengthened, she hoped. 

Later, the Canadian High Commissioner joined a MoU signing ceremony between Dhaka University and the University of Regina.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the Canadian High Commissioner Ms. Lilly Nicholls and President & Vice-Chancellor of the University of Regina Prof. Dr. Jeff Keshen for their visit to Dhaka University and keen interest in its academic and research activities.
