Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Proff. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman on Sunday condoled the demise of ‘Ekushey Padak’ winning eminent drama teacher and valiant freedom fighter SM Mohsin.
In a condolence message, the DU VI mentioned that S M Mohsin was a popular actor, drama teacher and cultural figure. S M Mohsin also served as the Acting Director General of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and the first Project Director of the National Theater. This talented artist will be remembered for his important contribution in the cultural arena of the country.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman prayed for the forgiveness of the soul of the deceased and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved members of the family. Actor S M Mohsin died at around 9.30am on Sunday while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of BIRDEM General Hospital in the city.
