A day-long national workshop on ‘Landslide Disaster Risk Reduction Approaches in Bangladesh’ will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at 10am at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University (DU) under the auspices of DU Disaster Science and Climate Resilience Department. State Minister for Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Dr. Md. Enamur Rahman, MP will be present as chief guest while Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal will preside over the workshop.
Secretary of Road Transport and Highways Division A B M Amin Ullah Nuri, Chief Engineer of Roads and Highways Department Md. Ishaque and Executive Director of Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) Malik Fida A Khan will attend this workshop as special guests while Chairman of the Department of Disaster Science and Climate Resilience Prof. Dr. Md. Zillur Rahman will give vote of thanks.
Faculties, experts, researchers, students and representatives of different institutions will participate in the workshop.
