The Awami League (AL) nominated Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayoral candidate Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh expressed his optimism over making the capital Dhaka a business friendly and service oriented city. He came up with this observation while addressing at a conference of country’s apex business body -Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) held at Jail Convention Centre at Boshi Bazar in the city.
He said, “Usually, small entrepreneurs do not have to wait for a long to get trade license. The issue especially relating to trade license will be solved within five days.”. Claiming himself to be a member of the business community, Taposh said that he could understand the problems of the businessmen.
“We have a plan to set up a help desk at our DSCC area. All major problems related to business will be solved through the help desk. And the city corporation will solve the problems through online and cell phone,” he assured. Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said he does not have magic stick, which can change the scenario overnight. “I’m practical and logical. I had to struggled throughout my life,” he said.
He said the capital Dhaka is enriched with rich traditions, culture and heritage. “I’m giving you the commitment to uphold Dhaka’s rich tradition, culture and heritage,” said the mayoral candidate.
