Dry weather likely over the country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted that weather may remain dry in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am, reports BSS.
“Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to Thursday afternoon,” said a Met office bulletin issued Wednesday morning.
Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Rajshahi, Naogaon, Jashore, Chuadanga and Srimangal and it may continue, added the bulletin.
However, night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said. As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the night and day temperature may rise further.
The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 26.8 degree Celsius in Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar district while Wednesday’s minimum temperature is 07.5 degree Celsius at Tetulia under Rangpur district.
The sun sets at 5:32 pm on Wednesday and rises at 6:43 am on Thursday in the capital.
