Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted that weather might remain dry in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am, reports BSS. “Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country from midnight to Tuesday afternoon,” said a Met office bulletin issued on Monday morning.
Mild cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur division and the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Naogaon, Jashore, Chuadanga, and it may continue, added the bulletin. However, Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may rise by (2-3)oC over the country, the bulletin said.
As an extended outlook for the next 72 hours, the bulletin predicted that the night and day temperature may rise. The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 26.2 degree Celsius in Teknaf under Cox’s Bazar district, while Monday’s minimum temperature is 07.2 degree Celsius at Tetulia under Rangpur district. The sun sets at 5:31 pm on Monday and rises at 6:44 am on Tuesday in the capital.
