Dry weather likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Friday predicted that weather would remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country, reports BSS. 

“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met Office bulletin.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Sylhet, Srimangal, Faridpur, Kushtia, Chuandanga and Rangamati, and it may continue and spread.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while Friday’s minimum temperature was 18 degree Celsius in Tetulia and Dimla under Rangpur Division. The sun sets at 6.18 pm on Friday and rises at 5.41 am on Saturday in the capital.
