Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a drug trader and recovered 26100 pieces of yaba tablets after searching from Salt laden truck at Shah Amanat bridge area under Bakalia thana on Saturday, reports BSS.
The arrested youth was identified as truck driver Mohammad Moshiur Rahman Liton, 35, hailed from Patuakhali district.
Masfukur Rahman, Assistant Director of RAB-7 said based on information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at the Rajbari Convention Centre of Bakulia around 5.45 am and seized 26100 pieces of contraband pills concealed inside Dhaka bound salt laden truck from Cox’s Bazar. RAB also detained the truck.
Masfukur Rahman told to media that legal action will be taken against the detainee.
