Hundreds of students of Dhaka University on Wednesday brought out a procession on the campus, holding black flags at hands and demanding capital punishment to the killers of BUET student Abrar Fahad. They also demanded termination of agreements between Bangladesh and India, signed last week during PM Sheikh Hasina’s India visit.

The students brought out a procession from in front of Raju sculpture on the campus. The procession after parading the streets of DU went to BUET through Fuller Road. Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU) VP Nurul Haque Nur, Social Services Secretary Akter Hossain, Bangladesh General Student Rights Protection Council convenor Hasan Al Mamun, joint convenors Faruk Hossain and Mohammad Rashed Khan, Student Union president Abu Raihan Khan and several members of the organisation and students of Dhaka University took part in the procession wearing black cloth and waving black flags.

At BUET Central Shaheed Minar, the procession of DU students joined the agitation of BUET students. DUCSU's VP Nurul Haque Nur there expressed solidarity with the demands of BUET students. He also assured them that they have no fear. VP Nur requested that the movement be continued till the demand was met and justice was served.

It is to be noted that on Sunday night at 2 pm, the activists of Chhatra League killed Abara Fahad. It was initially reported that the killing was because of Abrar’s writing on Facebook. Besides, it has been alleged that the students are often subjected to such torture. Students are protesting on all campuses across the country, including BUET and Dhaka University, demanding justice for Abrar's murder. Abrar's father filed a case against 19 BCL activists in the incident. Of these, thirteen have already been arrested.
