DBI training course held

A two-day training course on “Rules and Procedures of VAT and Income Tax”, organized by DCCI Business Institute (DBI), was held at its premises in the capital on July 12-13.

Some 17 business professionals nominated by different prominent organizations took part in the training, said a DCCI press release.

Former Commissioner (Customs and VAT) of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md Abdul Kafi, and Income Tax Lawyer and Company Law Adviser Hadisul Alam, Rahman Alam Shamsuddin and Associates conducted the training as resource persons.

The participants at the training course noted that the training course has broadened their mental horizon and made them conversant with very important issues on VAT and income tax.

Senior Vice President of DCCI Waqar Ahmad Choudhury was present at the closing and certificate awarding ceremony of the training course as chief guest.

He stated that VAT and tax is a vital issue now a days’ and advised the participants to have proper knowledge on VAT and income tax for achieving long-term business successes.

Md Joynal Abdin, Acting Secretary of DCCI and Executive Director of DBI offered the vote of thanks on the occasion. Mohammad Zahid Hossain, Group Chief Financial Officer of Rahimafrooz Bangladesh Limited was also present on the occasion.
