Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) has for the first time launched a day-care center for the care of children of teachers, officers and employees during office hours.
CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam inaugurated the day-care center set up in the new library building of the university on Wednesday morning.
All modern day care facilities have been ensured under the supervision of CUET Teachers Association. The current president of the Teachers Association, Prof. Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik, General Secretary, Prof. Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbi, Elected President Dr. Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem, General Secretary Dr. Md. Bashir Jisan, Officers Association President Mr. Amin Mohammad Musa, teachers-officers-staff were present.
It may be mentioned that a five-member committee headed by Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana was in charge of setting up the day-care center. Prof. Dr. Md. Azad Hossain, Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Dr. Mohammad Islam Mia, Assistant Professor, Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Babli Das, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Nahida Sahad, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities were the members.
