Ctg mobile court awards 6 month jail to fake doctor, fines TK one lakh

A mobile court on Tuesday awarded six months jail to a fake doctor and fined Taka one lakh, for allegedly treating patients without any degree on medical science, reports BSS.

Tahmilur Rahman, executive Magistrate of the district administration conducted a drive at Aysha Medical hall of south Patenga area at around 11 am and fined the fake doctor Bikiron Barua.

Mobile court sources said the fake doctor treated patients introducing himself as specialist in medicine and treating diabetic and children. He opened his chamber at Aysha Medical hall of south Patenga area without approval from the authority concerned. During interrogation, Bikiron confessed to the mobile court that after passing SSC examination, he completed a six-month course on Medicine from a private institution in Chattogram.

“As the youth violated three articles of the BMDC Act, the court fined him and sealed off his pharmacy”, the sources added.

Besides, the same mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion in cooperation with district administration also awarded three month jail to Faridul Alam, the owner of Aysha Medical hall of south Patenga area and fined TK 50 thousand for serving andselling date expired medicine items.

The mobile court also seized all other equipments of the pharmacy.
