CTG Abahani finish on fourth the first leg

Two late strikes from Ebimobowei Thankgod and Kehinde Yisa helped Chittagong Abahani Limited to finish their first leg with winning note defeating Bangladesh Police FC by 2-1 in the TVS Bangladesh Premier League football on Friday. 

Held at the Muktijudho Smriti Stadium, Rajshahi, both the Chittagong Abahani and the Bangladesh Police FC were competing to complete the first phase on fourth position with obtaining 18 and 16 points respectively before this encounter. 

The Chattogram outfit needed a draw to remain on fourth place but they did the job successfully came from a goal down with winning the match obtaining full three points. 

Bangladesh Police, who earned 16 points before this match, had to earn full three points to move into fourth position but despite taking the lead early in the second minute failed to keep up the momentum, as conceding two goals at the late hour suffered the defeat. 

Al Amin led Police in the second minute and kept the lead up to 83rd minute but Thanksgod and his the Nigerian compatriot Yisa, struck on each in a span of two minutes on 84th and 86th minute respectively to snatch the victory for Chittagong Abahani Limited.   

Muktijodha Sangsad Krira Sangha earned a valuable points after a 3-3 draw with the favourites Saif Sporting Club at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium, Gopalganj.

In the keenly contested match Muktijodha led the first half by 3-2 with Misawa scored one on ninth minute and Sajib added two on 27 and 35th minute when Sazzad scored one and Riyadul slammed home two goals to rescue Saif from a damage.
