Corona infection has been gradually increasing again in the city and district areas in recent days.
The number of victims has been increasing every day during last one month. A total of 31 people were detected positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 200 samples in 10 laboratories designated for COVID-19 test in Chattogram district. The infection rate is 15.05 percent. Earlier, 25 people were infected on Friday, 22 people on Thursday, 18 Tuesday, 14 on Monday and 12 on Sunday.
It is mentionable that the number of today’s infection is the highest in last month (September).
Dr Ilias Chowdhury, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram told BSS that the number of COVID-19 cases again speedily rose to 1,28,985 in Chattogram district, as 31 more persons were reported Covid-19 positive till this morning.
The total number of recovered patients from the deadly virus rose to 1,27, 934 with the recovery of 18 more patients during the time.
Dr Ilias Chowdhury, said the percentage of recovery rate is 99.08. With no new death recorded during the period, the death toll steady at 1,367.
A total of 44 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different designated hospitals here, the sources added.
