Consumers’ storytelling contest held

Consumer Youth Bangladesh (CYB) organized an online story competition titled ‘Consumer Storytelling’ to increase public awareness among students ofBangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science & Technology University (BSMRSTU) in Gopalganj through Consumer Protection Act and Promoting Consumer Rights. Regarding the online competition titled "Consumer Storytelling", Vibhas Bain, General Secretary, CYB Bashemurbiprabi Branch, said that the Consumer Storytelling Competition was organized mainly to create awareness among the students about consumerism and consumer rights. He said that the first half of a story on consumer rights would be published and the contestant would have to complete the rest by reviewing the "Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009" and send the text in due course. The winners of the storytelling online competition will be given attractive prizes.

As mentioned, Consumer Youth Bangladesh (CYB) is an affiliate of Conscious Consumer Society (CCS). The main objective of this voluntary organization is to make the consumers aware about their rights. Since its inception, CYB has been playing an important role in controlling the quality and price of food in the hotels adjacent to the university through various programs, seminars and programs to raise awareness in and around the university.
