Coast Guard’s Apurbo Bangla launches at NGanj Dockyard

The BCGS Apurbo Bangla, one of the two Inshore Patrol Vessel (IPV) for the Coast Guard at Narayanganj Dockyard, was launched through a function on Tuesday, says a press release. Rear Admiral M Ashraful Huq, the Director General of the Coast Guard, was present at the inaugural function. Commodore Shahsul Alam, Managing Director of DEW, Narayanganj Ltd, and different other officials from the Bangladesh Navy, Coast Guard and the Narayanganj Dockyard were also present at the function.

The Coast Guard play roles to deal with the interest of the country in the coastal area. Besides, the Coast Guard also play vital roles to curb criminal acts in the coastal zones. The vessel, BCGS Apurbo Bangla, has been provided to the Coast Guard With view to modernize the forces. At the inaugural function, Coast Guard chief Rear Admiral M Ashraful Huq said, both the Coast Guard and the Narayanganj Dockyard are very much close to each other. “When construction of both the IPVs will be completed, they will play vital roles in both the outer anchor and Blur-Economy areas.
