‘Closing Ceremony’ replaces ‘Rag-Day’ at DU

From now on, students of Dhaka University will be able to celebrate the closing ceremony of education instead of Rag-Day. The departmental chairman / director of the institute and the student advisor will meet with their respective students to finalize the program of the festival. The decision was taken at a meeting of the syndicate held at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building on Wednesday evening. Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting.

As per the decision, the inaugural function of the Education Completion Festival will be held at the premises of the respective departments / institutes. Students will be able to rally by gathering at the student-teacher center keeping the movement of pedestrians normal. Loud music should be avoided during class. 

The cultural program has to be completed by 10 pm on the day of the closing ceremony. 

Students should refrain from doing anything that tarnishes the image of the university.
