Chandpasha High School and College (Secondary Level) of Babuganj Upazila of Barisal has been selected as the best educational institution on the occasion of National Education Week-2022. Besides, Md Muhsin Hossain of Chandpasha High School and College's Vocational Branch is the best student of the upazila.
Member Secretary of Upazila Evaluation Committee and Upazila Secondary Education Officer Nasrin Jobaida Akhter confirmed the
information. It is learned that this assessment has been done after selecting the verification in the light of the policy in recognition of their contribution in different categories of secondary school.
Mosammat Tahmina Akhter, principal of the institute, said, “I have been working on important issues including quality of education, infrastructure, environment and discipline since I joined the institute. I have been trying to spend all my talent and labor for the good of the organization. Md Iqbal Hossain Taposh, President of the Board of Directors of the institution has always been working for the development of the educational institution. We have already got JSC examination center. Our educational institution has been selected as the SSC examination center this year. I think the announcement of the best educational institution in the upazila will inspire us. It is our pride.”
Chandpasha High School and College are located in a beautiful and captivating environment next to Lakutia road in Babuganj upazila of present day Barisal. The institution started its journey as a secondary school in the year 1968 and was elevated to the higher secondary level in the year 1996 with the tireless work and collaboration of eminent persons, educationists and general public of the region.
It can be seen after visiting that Chandpasha High School and College has administrative building, secondary and vocational, separate academic multi-storey building for the college. The school has modern facilities including computer lab, science lab, library, teachers auditorium, hall room, common room, Shaheed Minar, mosque, giant playground, fruit and flower garden. More than a thousand students are taking regular lessons in secondary and college branches.
