Certificate awarding ceremony of BAF junior command, staff course held

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (maintenance) of Bangladesh Air Force Air Vice Marshal Md Quamrul Ehsan distributed certificates and trophy among the graduating officers on Thursday. He distributed the award as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of Junior Command and Staff Course (JCSC) No. 115 at the Falcon Hall of BAF Officers’ Mess in the capital Dhaka, said an ISPR press release. 

Upon the arrival, the Assistant Chief of Air Staff was received by Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bashar Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Nazrul Islam and Officer Commanding of Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa. The JCSC course is designed to train officers on effective command and staff duties within service, inter-service and joint service environments.

Group Captain Md Sharif Mustafa delivered the welcome address at the programme giving a brief on the training and academic curriculums of No 115 JCSC. 26 officers from BAF have undergone this 13-week long course. 

Since inception of JCSC in 1976, Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) is tasked to prepare future leaders of Bangladesh Armed Forces who can serve the nation with dignity and honour. 

The chief guest handed over the certificates to all graduating officers and awarded the Chief of Air Staff’s certificate and trophy to Squadron Leader Faisal Ahmed for his overall best performance in the course. 

Addressing the programme, Air Vice Marshal Md Quamrul Ehsan emphasized on conceptual set up and applied education that all participating officers have attained during the course.

The command and staff skills that have achieved would also be of immense value in shouldering future assignments, he added.

He also appreciated the Command and Staff Training Institute (CSTI) for successfully conducting the course despite the pandemic COVID-19 situation.

At the end, he attended a photography session with all graduating officers.

Senior officers of BAF and other guests were present in the certificate award ceremony.
