BJP candidate and actress Srabanti Chatterjee has been accused of holding roadshows in the election campaign without permission. For this, a case is being filed against her with Parnashree Police Station in Behala West of West Bengal.

According to the West Bengal media, Srabanti lost her temper after getting barriers on the last day of campaigning in Behala before the polls. The actress claimed that “she had asked for permission earlier”, but it was not granted.

“They deliberately repeatedly were preventing the BJP from campaigning. BJP candidates are facing obstacles everywhere in Kolkata and suburbs,” she alleged.

Police say Srabanti’s roadshow was not allowed for several reasons. A case is being filed against her with Parnashree police station for campaigning without permission.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate Srabanti got angry over the incident. She went to the police station and involved an argument with the police. When the Election Commission was asked to report on the matter, it was informed that it had been submitted.

A day later, the fourth phase of the West Bengal assembly will be held. Srabanti will contest from Behala West where her opponent is Partha Chatterjee.
