‘Build Bangladesh Int’l Expo’ begins at ICCB

Government(LGRD) on Thursday said the government has set target to generate 85,000 megawatt (MW) of electricity. The per capita income of people will rise to $ 2,500 because the government has taken various initiatives in this regard. The minister made the remarks while addressing the inauguration of a three-day comprehensive international exhibition on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka. CEMS GLOBAL organises the 26th Build Bangladesh International Expo 2019 - the perfect Exhibition for Infrastructure Developers to network with companies from more than 14 countries from the construction, power, solar, water, safety & security, lighting and real estate industry.

Tazul Islam further said ‘the garment sector is the driving force of our economy. If its export is ever interrupted, our economy will suffer a catastrophe. ‘One hundred economic zones have been created in our country. Of these, some 5,000MW electricity will be needed in the Mirsarai Economic Zones. Employment of millions of people will be created in the economic zones,’ he added.   Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Senior Secretary of Power Division, said such an exhibition would play an important role to develop of economic growth of the country.  With more than 300 stalls and 267 companies from Bangladesh, India, China, Sweden, Germany, Italy, USA, Uzbekistan, UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Finland and Turkey participated in this international exhibition and will bring forth the latest and innovative concepts, equipment, technologies & services related to Infrastructure development. 

According to the organisers, the exhibition will merge a cluster of six events previously known as ConExpo.

Among othersMd. ShahidUllahKhandaker, Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Public Works, Ahsanur Rahman, Head of Sales & Marketing, Rupayan Housing Estate Limited, RezwanFerdous Khan, General Manager EMD, Max Infrastructure Limited were also present in the ceremony. 

The inaugurated program was presided byMeherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director, CEMS Global. 

On the sidelines of this exhibition there will be two seminars; a seminar on Industrial Rooftop Solar - CAPEX, OPEX model was held on Thursday evening and another seminar onSustainable Management of Industrial Water and Wastewater: Investment and Operations will be held on the 19th October from 10am to 6pm.
