BSTI fines 13 establishments Tk 1.35 lakh in Khulna

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined 13 business establishments Taka 1,35,000 for selling adulterated food items for not using digital weighing machines, without Certification Marks (CM) licenses and not maintaining hygiene standard in Khulna last month, reports BSS. 

Different teams of BSTI conducted 13 special drives in 13 business establishments in the Khulna division, including four petrol pumps, one Biscuit factory and eight sweetmeat shops and fined the money after filling a total 23 cases in February last, said an official release issued on Tuesday.

According to the release, the drives against unscrupulous businesspersons and establishments will continue.
