Body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Padma River at Alopotti area in Rajshahi city on Friday morning.
Officer-in-Charge of Boalia Police Station Nibaran Chandra Barman said local people spotted the body in the river and informed police.
Later, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
Details of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The body was sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy, added the OC.
