The police recovered the body of a man from behind of a restaurant at Arich Ghat at Shivalaya upazila in Manikganj on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Azim Uddin, 60, of Chouvanga village in Etna upazila in Kishorganj district.
Officer in Charge (OC) of Shivalaya Police Station Md. Monirul Islam said, local people found the body laying down condition back side of ‘Boishakhi Hotel’ in the morning and informed thana police. The police rushed to the spot and recovered body at 11.00 am.
Police could not find out the reason behind the killing, immediately. However, previous enmity might be the reason, the OC suspected.
Additional Police Super of Manikganj Mohiuddin Ahmed Mukul said, “Police are trying to find out the motives behind the killing.”
Replying to a query, the motive of the killing was snatching which will be come to light after getting post mortem report, the Additional SP added.
The body was sent to the Manikganj sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination. A case was lodged with Shivalaya Police Station in this connection.
