Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has commented that if BNP are ashamed because of spreading false propaganda, they should apologize to the nation and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and climb the Padma Bridge. He said that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came over the Padma Bridge quietly after the Faridpur rally due to lack of shame.

After participating in the World Climate Conference (COP-27), he said these things to the journalists in an exchange meeting organized at the Secretariat on Monday (November 14) after returning home.

When reporters asked about BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir's return to Dhaka via Padma Bridge after the Faridpur rally, the Information Minister said, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has no shame. Of course Padma Bridge is made for everyone.

Hashan Mahmud said, "If they had any shame, they should have said before climbing the Padma Bridge - we apologize to the nation and to the leader Sheikh Hasina for the false propaganda we have done about the Padma Bridge. It was necessary to climb the Padma Bridge to apologize. Padma came over the bridge without any shame. However, the Awami League government has built the Padma bridge for everyone.

He said, how much talk about Padma Bridge. Taking into account the value of goods with the price of gold, the time it took to build the Hardinge Bridge was one-fifth of the time spent on the Padma Bridge.

In response to another question from reporters, he said, BNP has been saying for almost 14 years that it will bring down the government and if it does not fall, they will not go back home. Of course, after every rally, they go back home. As much as they are demanding, there is a benefit to us… our staff is getting stronger. One of the qualities of Awami League workers is that if someone gives a punch, they are united and energized.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the current government is looting everything from mega projects to widow benefits. In response to the questions of the journalists, the information minister said that they have made Bangladesh the champion of corruption five times in a row. Four times singly, once jointly. Those who are thieves, world thieves, find the smell of theft in everything. They themselves are world thieves, so they find the smell of theft in everything.

He said, when in power, Hawa built buildings and extorted money from all businesses. Mirza Fakhrul said one thing it is very important. Mirza Fakhrul Sahib said a few days ago that if the government falls, there will be a national government led by Tarek Zia. That is, the world thief of Hawa Bhavan will come again to Bangladesh and they want to form a national government under his leadership. The people of the country will never accept it.

Responding to a question about calling the launch, bus, truck strike before the BNP rally, Hasan Mahmud said that because the BNP had set everything on fire, the launch, bus and truck. When the BNP held a rally, the owners of launches, buses, trucks went on strike in panic. Because in the past they have burnt bus-trucks in the name of rally, in the name of movement. Bus-truck people burned, with whom we had a program. BNP is responsible for the cries and cries of people there. They all demanded justice of BNP.

He said, Bus-Truck Owners Workers Association has all groups. Not only Awami League leaders are there. There is Awami League, BNP, Jatiya Party, Jasad and other parties are there. They are the ones who called the strike.
